Every day, thousands of migrants attempt to cross the Eastern Corridor in pursuit of a better life. Too many become victims of human trafficking on their journeys to and through Yemen.
At age 18, Faiza fell victim to traffickers who misled, extorted and exploited her multiple times.
IOM's Voluntary Humanitarian Return programme is the only safe route home for migrants stranded in Yemen. IOM has helped more than 5,600 migrants to return home since the start of the year, but more work needs to be done to ensure the safety and dignity of all those stranded.
Together, we must work to #EndHumanTrafficking and ensure no one is left behind.
