Despite relentless conflict and mobility restrictions caused by the pandemic, tens of thousands of migrants from the Horn of Africa continued to board boats to Yemen in a desperate search for a better life this year. Many have become stranded throughout the country and experience abuse and exploitation.

On International Migrants Day, the International Organization for Migration calls for the rights of all people on the move in Yemen to be fully respected.
